Timeless. Unique. Memorable.

All of these words could describe Mollie and Trevor’s spectacular wedding. The event made everyone smile for hours over the love and celebration of the happy couple.

Mollie and Trevor met through mutual friends who matched on Tinder. While their friends weren’t a good match, it did mean Trevor and Mollie had a chance to meet. Ten days later, they started dating! When it was finally time for Trevor to propose, it was known as “Operation Sparkle,” to keep the surprise from Mollie. Trevor made sure family and friends were all in town when he popped the question on Mollie’s family porch swing. Once screaming "Yes!" and alerting the neighbors, all gathered at Mollie’s parents’ house for an engagement party complete with a mini wedding cake!

A love for the decades.

With the goal of a classic and timeless wedding, Mollie took inspiration from her grandmother’s wedding dress. She decided to wear the dress for the ceremony as a way to include tradition and celebrate her grandparents' 58-years of love. Altered by Felicia Couture, the dress had small lace details along the sleeves and an incredible collar that tied the look together. One of Mollie’s most memorable moments was leaving the ceremony in her grandmother’s gown as everyone tossed flower petal confetti on the newlyweds.

After wearing her vintage dress, Mollie decided to do a complete style change for the reception. After changing out of her classic pink peep-toes and into glass-heeled lace-ups, Mollie replaced her traditional pearl earrings with dangling crystals. Her transformation was complete when she literally "let her hair down" and was ready to party! Guests were completely surprised when the two made their grand entrance as a married couple.

By combining vintage and modern styles, the decor included antiques, like flower stands and wedding cake toppers paired with tapered candles in glass cylinders, as well as clean color schemes for signs and stationery. For florals, Mollie worked with White Willow Events, who created gorgeous centerpieces with peonies and roses for an elegant look. White Willow Events was an even bigger hit with Trevor because they left the couple a Casey's breakfast pizza in their hotel room! It was the perfect end to the night.

Enjoy the night with family and friends.

Another detail that made the wedding was the photobooth by SnapXP. The couple and their guests loved the selfie stand that allowed people to take fun photos all night long. The photos even had a customizable graphic that said “Mollie + Trevor” for a more personal touch. With a great ring light around the camera, it was easy for guests to take bright, beautiful photos and they could share them straight to their phones. It was a fun way to capture the event and get instant pictures.

The reception was held at The River Center in Des Moines. The couple was actually the first to book the new atrium side of the venue. The space matched perfectly with the style of their wedding and allowed lots of space for dancing all night long. The center has a long stairway that the couple trickled down as husband and wife when announced at the reception.

A word from the wise.

Before the wedding, Trevor was given the advice to just look around at all the people in the same place and take a moment to truly see the celebration of their love. With people from all over the nation, Mollie and Trevor were grateful to take a moment and see all the smiles and love surrounding them as newlyweds.
