A romantic evening proposal.
Maddie and Jack’s relationship started while they were at the University of Iowa and on the track and field team. When their families were both in town over the holiday weekend to boat and move the couple, Jack created a romantic evening in their apartment filled with pictures, candles, flowers, and mood lighting. The proposal was made sweeter to have their friends and family there to capture the moment.
Maddie loved the planning process. Lucky for Maddie, her older sister had prior experience, so the couple booked some of the same vendors. This made the process go so much smoother, knowing what they could expect from their wedding pros.
Making the ceremony about you.
The bride’s wedding inspiration was a combination of a French Chateau paired with backyard wedding vibes. The Salisbury Gardens provided the perfect ambiance for their theme. The unique cobblestone and large overhead doors integrated the outdoors perfectly. At the ceremony, the couple planted a tree with the soil from Indiana (where Jack is from) and Iowa (where Maddie is from), creating the perfect keepsake from their union.
A day to remember.
Maddie and Jack wanted their friends and family to play a large role in their wedding day. Their close friend married the couple and Jack's uncle said a prayer for the couple. Family and friends showed up in small and big along the way, making the day special. And everyone showed up big on the dance floor!
Which ended the day with the perfect, epic moment to be surrounded by everyone they love to celebrate their marriage!
