When I stumbled upon the GORGEOUS McLeod gown, I knew I needed to photograph that dress and show it off to the world! — Val Duvick
The main elements of inspiration we wanted to feature were gold foil and watercolor. This came through in the cake, stationery, napkins, depression glass and floral texture. First, the cake by Jen Ellett, 1924 Bake Shop was an amazing portrayal of the dress with a similar watercolor base accented with cascading flecks of gold foil.
The stationery also nodded to the watercolor style with a custom envelope liner and watercolored florals throughout. Casey, of Bright DeSigns, custom dyed the napkins to tie it all together with the gorgeous depression glassware and of course, the breathtaking florals throughout by Shelly Sarver Designs.
The custom acrylic name pieces and geometric votives reference back to the gold accents and finish the tabletop decor.
