Young Love.

You may find love right across the street.

Small town Iowa brings people together from a young age. While it can be annoying when everyone knows everything about everyone, for Anna and Tim, it brought them together. Anna and Tim grew up running up and down the streets of their neighborhood. Being right across the street let them meet in the middle, and they were on their way. As Tim grew out of the “girls have cooties” stage, Anna and Tim became boyfriend-girlfriend as high school sweethearts.

A sweet and simple proposal

After a night out, Tim gets down on one knee.

After a night out at an Iowa Wild hockey game and concert, Anna and Tim made their way back to their apartment, little did Anna know, the night was far from over. Totally a surprise, Tim got down on one knee and proposed to Anna. The proposal was just the two of them, which made it even more special. With the engagement underway, it was time to start planning their memorable day. After some time, they picked a rustic chic theme and began their plans. They used a lot of old photographs of their relationship, growing up, and how time has changed. With the outline of their wedding underway, finding the venue was next on their list. Barnes’ Place was a great fit for the rustic theme they were looking for. From the outdoor, weathered trellis where they said their vows, to the multicolored barn boards and twinkle lights inside, it all felt just right for them.

How the plan comes together.

Let your wedding vendors keep the day running smoothly.

With their venue and ideas ready to go, they needed help to put everything together. Throughout their time thinking and planning, the communication between their wedding pros was one of the highlights of planning their perfect wedding day. Because of the craziness of wedding planning, they wanted everything to run smoothly, and with the “feedback and creative ideas from our vendors, it was a huge help and guiding force for us.” Anna told us. With the helpful input and expertise from all of them, it let Anna and Tim sit back and enjoy their love for a day with the ones they love the most.

It’s all about the moments.

Find the photographer that can capture them all.

As the wedding day was upon Anna and Tim, they decided not to have a first look. They wanted to take the moment when the doors open and see each other for the first time. Their photographer, Aundrea Eilers, captured it perfectly, and everything throughout the night. “That was a special moment we won’t forget.” It was a time for everyone to share in the love Anna and Tim have for one another.
