When To Get Down On One Knee

With the perfect ring, Eli was waiting for the perfect moment.

He carried the ring around in his pocket and waited. And waited. And waited for the moment to get down on one knee. Eli soon realized that it any moment with Brittany was the perfect moment. On a long walk through the trails of Centerville, Eli’s grand plan began to unfold. He got down on one knee and asked Brittany to be his wife.

Finding Your Venue

The venue is what can help you start to create the look you want.

Once the ring slid on Brittany’s finger, her mind began to race. Throughout the jumble of ideas in her head, she decided she on an industrial look. Brittany went to school in Chicago and fell in love with the city. “I wanted a warehouse look to our venue — brick walls, metal, big windows,” Brittany told us. With this specific look in mind, she came across the perfect spot with that same urban contemporary feel — Bash. It fit everything she wanted.

Finding the venue was the hardest part, but once they discovered Bash, it was smooth sailing from there.

Do What’s Important To You

You don’t have to DO IT ALL, but pick the things that mean the most to you.

Luckily Eli’s father is a contractor so it made their DIY wedding decorations come together effortlessly. He built many of the larger pieces — the light bulb stand behind the head table, bicycle wheel centerpieces, bases for the wreaths that hung from the ceiling, cake stand, and ceremony arch.” All the pieces brought their industrial themed wedding to life.

Thanks to the handy work from Eli’s father, it allowed Brittany and Eli to splurge on other fun details. While visiting Chicago, they came across a street festival where they saw a 90’s cover band – Run Forrest Run.

“I reached out to them to see if it were even possible for them to travel for our wedding and thankfully they were open to it. Having them as part of our wedding was our favorite part.” The perk of having a live band created an atmosphere for all to enjoy. Brittany and Eli have always had a love of concerts and live music, so it was the perfect way to share their love with the ones they love.
