On an unsuspecting day, Chelsea headed to lunch with her girlfriends. What she didn’t know, was that it had been put together by Ben to get her out of the house. He decorated the entire house with roses, candles, favorite music playing and photos of the couple all around the house. When Chelsea got home, she noticed the blinds were closed, thinking Ben was watching a movie, she walked inside and was greeted by all the work Ben had been up to while she was out. He immediately got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. With friends and family in town, they spent the night celebrating the fabulous day!
Chelsea jokes that she has a self-diagnosed “allergy to color”, so she knew she was going to lean towards neutrals and a clean, classic look to the day. As they started to look for their wedding day vendors, they found that the people and places they picked just “clicked” with them. “Every single person we worked with was over the top beyond amazing,” Chelsea told us. “I would highly recommend working with Alex and his team at the Temple for Performing Arts and Taylor and her team at White Willow are the best of the best!”
The whole day was a dream. The couple wanted some time just for the two of them while guests enjoyed cocktail hour. So, their photographer, Katie Lindgren, took them to the main reception room to take photos while the couple enjoyed time away to just sit, talk and reflect. “It was so special to us to talk about the fact that we were MARRIED, and everyone was there to celebrate with us.”
Chelsea loved the planning process, she always wanted to try wedding planning, so she geeked out, to say the least. “I am a total control freak, but my best piece of advice is to rely on your vendors to do their thing! It was the best thing I did.” It allowed her to enjoy everything else. Which is her other piece of advice, never lose perspective on the day. “It is so easy to get caught up in the details. In the end, you are planning the first day of the rest of your life with your best friend! All that matters is when you say “I do” and you both have the best day ever!”
